before you order.
Most shirt printing puts your design on the fabric. Sublimation puts it in the fabric. That one difference decides what you can print, how it feels to wear, and how it looks after a season of washing — so it's worth two minutes of your time.
The ink becomes the fabric.
Under heat, sublimation ink skips the liquid stage entirely — it turns straight to gas and bonds with the polyester fibres. There is no layer sitting on top of the shirt, which means nothing can crack, peel or flake off, ever. Run your hand across a printed area and you feel fabric, not plastic.
That is the honest trade-off against our DTF-printed tees. DTF presses a film onto the surface: cheaper for one small chest logo, and you can feel the patch when you touch it. For a full-colour design that covers the shirt, sublimation is the only method that still looks new after a season.
Printed flat, then sewn together.
We print the fabric panels before the shirt exists. That is why your artwork can run off the edge of a sleeve, wrap around the side panel and cross a seam without breaking — none of which is possible when you press a design onto a finished garment.
So think in terms of the whole shirt, not a rectangle on the chest. Gradients that fade from shoulder to hem, patterns that continue around the body, a sponsor bar that runs across the back — all of it is on the table.
Why it has to be polyester.
This is chemistry, not preference. Sublimation ink bonds with polyester fibres; on cotton it has nothing to hold onto and washes out. Anyone offering you a 100% cotton sublimation shirt is describing something that does not work.
The upside is that polyester suits what these shirts are usually for. It is light, it dries fast and it holds colour — which is why sports kit is made of it, and why it copes with Singapore weather better than a heavy cotton tee.
Names, numbers, and the file we need.
When every shirt belongs to a different person, choose the names-and-numbers option and we will collect the name list from you after checkout. Each shirt becomes its own print file, which is what the $4.50 per piece covers. One shared design across the whole order costs nothing extra.
For the artwork itself there is only one answer: a vector file built in Illustrator, layers intact and fonts outlined. Sublimation prints at full garment size, and only vector art survives being scaled that far — a high-resolution JPG will not do it.
