An acrylic name badge is a few simple choices done well: the shape, the colour of the base, and whether the name stands raised off it or prints flat onto it. Here’s how it comes together.

Raised, or printed flat.

On the 3D badge the name is a separate piece of acrylic, cut to shape and mounted on the base so it stands proud of the surface — the part people notice first, and the part you can feel. Because it is its own layer of acrylic, its colour comes from the sheet we stock.

The flat badge prints the name straight onto the base instead. Nothing is raised, so there is no stock to match and the name can be any colour at all — including colours no acrylic sheet comes in. It also costs less. Both finishes take the same shapes, the same bases and the same optional printed title.

Choose the shape.

A rounded rectangle reads as a classic name badge; a heart, flower or blob softens it for a salon, a classroom or a gift. Each one works with either finish.

What’s the difference between the 3D and the flat printed badge?
On the 3D badge the name is a second layer of acrylic mounted on the base, so the letters stand raised and you can feel them — its colour comes from the acrylic we stock. On the flat badge the name is UV-printed straight onto the base: no raised layer, any colour you like, and it costs less. Both come on the same acrylic base with the same magnet back, in any of the four shapes, and you pick between them on this page.
How is the raised name made?
It’s dual-layer acrylic. The name is a separate piece of acrylic, cut to shape and mounted on the coloured base, so the letters sit raised off the surface — you can feel them. It isn’t printed or engraved; it’s a second layer of acrylic on top. The preview shows the layout and wording; the finished badge has the physical raised name.
Can I have any shape with either finish?
Yes. Rounded rectangle, heart, flower and blob are all available as a raised 3D name or a flat printed one — the shape and the finish are separate choices on the page, so nothing is ruled out by picking one first.
What colours can I choose?
Three separate choices: the base colour, the name colour and the title colour. On the 3D badge the name is cut from acrylic, so its colour is limited to the acrylic we stock (currently white, black, gold or rose gold). On the flat printed badge the name is UV-printed, so it can be any colour you like — as can the title line on either finish. The base colours available are shown on the page.
How does it attach?
Every badge has a magnet back — a strong, secure hold with no pin, so there are no holes in a uniform, apron or blouse.
Do I have to add a title or role?
No — the title line is optional. Leave it blank for a clean name-only badge, or add something like “Registered Nurse”, “Manager” or “Volunteer”.
What shapes and fonts are there?
Four base shapes — rounded rectangle, heart, flower and blob — and a choice of script and block fonts. The name and title can use different fonts if you like.
Can I order just one, or a matching set?
Both. There’s no minimum, so order a single badge or add a badge for every person on the team. Each one is personalised separately, so names, colours, shapes and finishes can differ across the set.
Is it hard-wearing?
Acrylic is durable and wipes clean, and both the raised name and the printed title are made to last through daily wear — it’s built to be worn every shift, not just once.
