Hand fans are offset-printed on both faces, die-cut to the shape you pick, and finished — matt-laminated on 310gsm art card, or printed straight on 500gsm waterproof synthetic. Stock, handle, shape, quantity — four decisions that change the outcome on the booth floor. Here is what actually matters on each one.
Why hand fans are offset-printed from 100 pieces, not digital.
Hand fans are offset-printed on both faces, die-cut to the shape you pick, and finished — not digital. The reason: offset amortises plate setup across the whole run and locks colour identically from the first fan to the last. That is what a National Day block party or a retail roadshow actually needs. Digital drifts slightly across a long run; on a welcome table fanned out side-by-side, the drift shows up as one corner reading warmer than the other.
Total lead time is 7 working days from when your artwork clears our file check to ready-for-collection at Paya Lebar Square. On the handle builds, the fans ship fully assembled — the plastic handle is already attached, so you unbox and distribute at the event. Free delivery within Singapore over S$150.
310gsm matt-lam, or 500gsm waterproof synthetic — the stock call.
310gsm Art Card with Matt Lamination is the event default. Matt lam gives a non-glare finish that reads well on camera under booth lighting. On 310gsm it unlocks the full shape library — 11 with-handle shapes (A–K) and 3 paddle shapes (L–N).
500gsm Synthetic Card is the premium call. It is waterproof — outdoor-all-day events, humid goodie bags and rain-on-the-forecast scenarios all favour synthetic over card. Trade-offs: it costs more per piece, and the shape library narrows to the round Type A. Synthetic prints straight (no lamination); the stock itself is the finish.
Plastic handle or hand-held paddle — decide by how the fan gets used.
Plastic handle (Yes) is the conventional fan — rigid stick attached to the fan body, arrives fully assembled. Assembly shows as a separate line in the breakdown. Available on both 310gsm and 500gsm, across 11 ready shapes (Types A through K). This is what you pick for roadshows, rallies, block parties — anywhere people will flap it. Price tiers run up to 1,000 pieces on this build.
No handle — hand-held paddle (No) is a 310gsm-only option with 3 paddle shapes (Types L, M, N). Reasons to pick it: temple and religious-festival distributions where the fan is held flat in a prayer hall, bulk giveaways where speed of distribution outweighs the flapping use case, or brands that want a clean round silhouette with the grip built into the card itself. No assembly fee — nothing to attach. Price tiers extend to 2,000 and 3,000 pieces — the only build with that ceiling.
Files, the preview, and the 14 ready shapes.
You don't need to draw the die-cut outline. Pick one of the 14 ready Types on the configurator, send us your artwork as an Adobe Illustrator (.AI) file or print-ready PDF — CMYK, 300dpi minimum, fonts outlined — and we set it onto the shape for you. For double-sided fans put front and back on separate artboards (or a two-page PDF, clearly labelled). Our file check runs inside 12 hours.
Once the file passes the check, we lay out your artwork against the chosen Type's die-cut line and send back a digital preview for you to approve. The plates only go down after that approval — total lead time stays at 7 working days from approval to ready-for-collection. The 14 ready shapes break down as 11 with-handle (Types A–K) and 3 paddle (Types L–N); Type A is the only shape available on 500gsm synthetic. Custom die-cut silhouettes (mascot outlines, logo marks, bottle shapes) are available on a quote when the 14 ready shapes don't fit.
